Signals (partner news feed)

AI-analyzed partner news, why it matters, and how to act on it

Signals are news articles about your partner companies that Triad fetches, scores for relevance, and enriches with a plain-language read on why each one matters to your partnership — plus a recommended action.

Where signals come from

Triad monitors each partner automatically. A daily job searches the web for news about the partner, scores each article for relevance, deduplicates and clusters related coverage, and writes a partnership implication ("why this matters") and a recommended action onto the ones worth surfacing. Only analyzed articles appear — raw, unscored results stay hidden. Creating a new partner kicks off a 30-day backfill, so signals show up within a day or two.

Where signals appear

  • /signals — the full feed: non-dismissed signals from the last 14 days, newest first.
  • Dashboard — the top 5 signals, with a "Show N more →" link to the full feed, plus a "New Signals" tile counting the last 24 hours.
  • Partner detail page — that partner's signals, including a separate collapsed section of dismissed ones.

Reading a signal

Each signal card shows the partner name, a signal-type badge (opportunity, risk, or neutral), the published date, the article title (linking to the source), the source attribution, any supporting/related articles, the partnership implication, and a recommended action.

Acting on a signal

The recommended-action zone gives you two buttons:

  • Draft email — opens a draft follow-up grounded in the signal. Disabled once an email is already linked.
  • Add as next step — turns the recommended action into a tracked next step on the partner. Disabled once it's been converted.

After you act, the card shows "Email drafted → View" or "Added as next step → View" so you can jump to the resulting activity or step.

Dismissing signals

Click Dismiss to remove a signal from your feed; an Undo option appears immediately in case you change your mind. Dismissed signals drop off the main feed and dashboard but remain visible in a collapsed section on the partner page.

Common gotchas

If you see "No signals yet," Triad likely hasn't finished its first monitoring pass — give it a day or two after adding the partner. Linking a partner to a recognized company (when prompted on the partner form) lets news fetching be shared across workspaces tracking the same company, which improves coverage.

Duplicate articles about the same event are clustered and de-duplicated, so you won't see the same news repeated — related coverage is tucked under "supporting articles."

FAQ

How current are signals?

The full feed shows the last 14 days; the dashboard tile counts the last 24 hours. Monitoring runs daily.

Can I get signals by email?

Yes — turn on the Weekly Partnership Signals digest in Settings → Notifications to get the top signals from your week each Monday.

What does dismissing do?

It removes the signal from your active feed and dashboard. It's reversible right after (Undo), and dismissed signals stay accessible in a collapsed section on the partner page.
