Partners on a deal

Where does each partner's pursuit stand on this deal?

On every opportunity page, the Partners on this deal panel shows each partner on the deal, where its pursuit stands, and what it expects to deliver. A pursuit is one partner on one deal. Your workspace may use its own word for this; see Settings, Terminology.

The rows

One line per partner, with the pursuit stage and latest outcome (or Not started), delivery and services, the attribution your CRM sends, the level of influence, and the partner amount. With two or more partners, the panel shows how their amounts compare with the deal amount.

Recording on a row

Click a partner's line to open it.

  • Record pursuit stage: pick the stage, the outcome and the date, then Record. Outcomes that need a reason (partner declined, sales declined, connection failed, dormant) ask for one, and Triad drafts it from the deal's activities for you to edit. With the stage order rule on, Connection waits until Sales Alignment is agreed.
  • Record delivery: what the partner expects to get from the deal before it closes.
  • Record services: once the deal closes, who won the services, with an amount and its currency.
  • Note: type what happened and Save note. The note is saved as an activity, word for word, the moment you save it.

Each Record also writes a short activity, so the partner's page finds it.

The attribution column

Attribution is what your CRM says, loaded by the import. You cannot change it here. If the partner will not be or was not credited, answer it on the credit gap page.

FAQ

Why can I not record Connection?

Your admin has the stage order rule on, and Sales Alignment is not agreed yet on this deal.

I recorded the wrong stage. How do I fix it?

Record the right one. The latest event counts.
