Credit gap
Which partner work on my open deals does the CRM not credit, and who can fix it?
The credit gap lists the partner work on open deals that your CRM does not credit, grouped by the deal owner who can fix it. The band at the top sets it beside what the CRM does credit. Your workspace may use its own word for this; see Settings, Terminology.
Open Activation, Credit gap.
The band
At the top, for deals closing in the period:
- Credited by the CRM: deals where your CRM's attribution says a partner is credited.
- Worked, not credited: deals with partner work recorded at Sales Alignment or later, unanswered in the credit gap, and no credited partner.
A deal counts in one or the other, never both. Under the band, a line says when the last import ran and what it changed. If no attribution has been loaded from your CRM, the band says so.
Who is in the gap
Open deals, as of today, with a pursuit recorded at Sales Alignment or later whose attribution in your CRM does not mean credited, or is not loaded. The cards count the pursuits in the gap, the deal amount on them (in each deal's own currency, a deal with two partners in the gap counting twice), and how many are answered and unanswered.
Groups follow the deal's owner in your CRM, with deals that have no owner last. Each row shows the deal, account, partner, deal amount, partner amount, attribution, the furthest stage and the answer if there is one. Partner amount is never added to the deal amount.
Answering a row
Recording why a pursuit will not be or was not credited takes one action on the row:
- Will not submit or Declined, with a reason from your list. The answer and an activity are written in the same save.
A later import that says the partner is credited overrules the answer without erasing it.
Draft the justification
Draft the justification writes the text to paste into your CRM's attribution field when you submit the partner for credit, from the deal's record. It follows the rules an admin wrote under Settings, Activation, Thresholds, such as a length limit or required headings.

FAQ
Why does a deal show in the gap when the partner did nothing?
Something was recorded at Sales Alignment or later. Answer it with Will not submit and a reason such as "Partner not involved".
What does Declined mean here?
The partner was submitted for credit and the CRM or the deal desk turned it down.
