Activation settings

How do I set up Triad's words, stages, values and thresholds for my team?

Activation settings are where an admin makes Triad speak your team's language and follow your process. Your workspace may use its own word for this; see Settings, Terminology.

Terminology

Settings, Terminology holds your word for each concept: pursuit, pursuit stage, standing, willingness, attribution, negation, credit gap, target list, activation, delivery expectation and services outcome. Every screen uses your word. Ask Triad answers in your words too.

Values

Settings, Activation has a page for each set of values. Each page starts with what the values are, an example, and what they feed.

  • Pursuit stages: the four stages a partner works through on one deal, each with its outcomes. Rename them and reorder the outcomes. Stages cannot be added or removed. An outcome marked Reason required asks for a reason when recorded.
  • Standings: present, absent, not yet known. Rename or hide.
  • Willingness: the two outcomes, renamed and reordered.
  • Attribution states: the values your CRM uses for partner credit, for example Credited, Submitted or Declined. Add the ones your CRM sends, and mark which mean credited.
  • Negation reasons: the reasons offered when a pursuit will not be or was not credited.
  • Delivery expectations and Services outcomes: what a partner expects from a deal, and who delivered the services.

Thresholds and rules

Settings, Activation, Thresholds:

  • Staleness: the days without a person's activity before a present pair counts as gone quiet. 90 by default.
  • Stage order: with it on, a partner cannot be recorded at Connection until the deal's owner has agreed at Sales Alignment.
  • Justification rules: what your CRM's attribution field expects, such as a length limit or headings. Every drafted justification follows it.
  • Default currency: the currency a deal counts in when your CRM sends none. Amounts are never converted; a figure over deals in several currencies shows one line per currency.

Only admins change these. Everyone sees the result.

FAQ

Why can I not add a fifth pursuit stage?

Every pursuit and the funnel count on the four stages. Rename them to match your process.

I renamed a stage. Do old records change?

They show the new name. Nothing recorded is lost.
