Suggestions from notes

What is the suggestion that appeared after I saved a note?

When you save a note, Triad saves it as written, right away. Afterwards, in the background, it reads the note, and when the note says something Triad can record, a suggestion appears on the record. Your workspace may use its own word for this; see Settings, Terminology.

What a suggestion can be

  • On an account: a partner's willingness, with a date and a reason.
  • On a deal: a pursuit stage and outcome, a delivery expectation, a services outcome, or that the partner will not be or was not credited, with a reason.

Each suggestion shows the sentence it came from. If the note holds nothing structured, nothing appears.

Accept or dismiss

One sentence, one Record button, and a dismiss. Record writes exactly what the sentence says it will. Dismiss removes it. Ignoring it costs nothing; the note is already saved either way.

Triad never writes a structured record from a note on its own. A person accepts every one.

The capture inbox

A pasted transcript or email goes through the capture inbox instead of a note box. There you review what Triad proposes from the whole text before it is saved. When you accept an item there, its proposals are decided in that review, so the record does not get a second suggestion for the same text.

FAQ

Can I turn suggestions off?

Ignore them; they cost nothing. A note is always saved as written whether or not a suggestion appears.

The suggestion is wrong. What happens if I dismiss it?

Nothing is recorded. Your note stays as you wrote it.
