How a meeting transcript about several partners is split into one activity per partner before you accept it
This becomes N activities
A meeting often covers more than one partner. When a transcript you forward, or one from Notion or Fireflies, discusses several partners, the Capture Inbox shows it split into segments: one row per stretch of the meeting, with the partner it was about. The header says how many activities accepting it will create.
How a transcript is split
- A heading or topic line in the notes starts a new segment, and everything under it stays together.
- When the conversation moves to a different partner, a new segment starts.
- A subject that spans two partners, such as a joint program, stays one segment with both partners.
- A list of accounts discussed under one partner stays one segment.
- Talk about no partner, such as internal hiring, is dropped.
Each segment keeps its own names, deals and next steps.
What you can change before accepting
- Change the partner on a row from its list.
- Merge with next when two rows are really one subject.
- Drop a row you do not want recorded.
Then accept. Each segment becomes one activity on its partner, on the meeting's date, with the meeting's attendees. A segment about two partners together becomes one activity on each of them, with the same text.
A transcript about one partner is reviewed as usual, as a single activity.
