Accounts
Track customer accounts, coverage, pipeline, and execution health
Accounts are the customer end-users your partnerships touch. Triad uses them to roll up coverage, pipeline, and delivery health by account.
The accounts list
Open Accounts in the sidebar (subheading: "Coverage, execution health, and pipeline by account"). Columns are Account, Active impl. (active projects with a health dot), Recent activity (date of last touch), Open next steps, and Opportunities. A partner filter and activity/health filters sit above the table.
To add one, use the header action or navigate to Accounts?create=1, which opens the create modal. Empty state: "No accounts yet" with options to add manually or import your CRM account list.
Create or edit an account
The create modal and the edit form (/accounts/[id]/edit) share the same fields:
- Name (required)
- Region — e.g. AMER, EMEA, APAC
- Industry
- Website — optional, but must start with
http://orhttps://if set - This is a net-new account brought by a partner — a checkbox that flags partner-sourced accounts with a "Net New" badge
Validation will stop you with "Name is required." or "Website must start with http:// or https:// when provided."
The account detail page
The header shows region, industry, and website, plus action buttons: Capture activity, Brief me (an AI brief about the account), + New opportunity, and + New project. The "⋯" menu has Edit account, and Delete for admins.
Sections include a metrics hero band, Pipeline (opportunities with partner credits and stage pills), Delivery (implementation projects, when present), recent activity, open next steps, a combined opportunities-and-projects list, and Our team / Partner team. The right rail shows the segments the account belongs to, the partners linked to it, and recent account signals.
How accounts connect to partners
An account becomes linked to a partner when you capture an activity, opportunity, or project that ties them together. If the Partners rail says "No partners linked to this account yet," capture an activity with a partner attached to this account to create the link.
Common gotchas
You may see account URLs with a name in them (e.g. /accounts/Acme%20Corp). These are legacy name-based links that immediately redirect to the account's canonical ID-based URL — both work.
Deleting an account is admin-only and permanent; the confirmation warns "Are you sure you want to delete this account? This cannot be undone." Editing is open to all members.
FAQ
What does the "Net New" badge mean?
It marks an account your partner brought to you — a net-new logo sourced through the partnership — set via the checkbox on the account form. It's useful for reporting partner-sourced pipeline.
Why is my account's "Recent activity" blank?
That column reflects the most recent activity tied to the account. Capture an activity and link it to the account (directly or through an opportunity or project) and the date will populate.
How do I group accounts?
Use Segments. An account can belong to many segments, and a segment marked as a Target Account List feeds the partner scorecard's coverage dimension.
