Read the Room

Generate a sentiment + friction analysis from a meeting transcript

What you get from Read the Room

Read the Room analyzes a captured conversation and returns defensible relationship intelligence: sentiment for your side and the partner's side (with quoted evidence), alignment and divergence on specific topics, friction points scored by severity (mild, moderate, significant), per-account relationship signals, and recommendations tied to friction topics.

Every signal traces to words in the transcript — operational output you can use in QBRs and exec prep, not abstract "vibes."

Run it from the activity page

Open an activity that contains a meeting transcript. On the activity detail page, find the Read the Room section.

If decompose marked the capture as a transcript (`is_transcript: true`), Triad recommends analysis and enables Analyze immediately. If the capture was notes-only, you may see a warning — you can still run anyway, but quality is best on real dialogue.

Click Analyze. Progress phases run while the skill completes (typically under a minute). Results render inline: sentiment panels, alignment lists, friction cards, account signal pills, and recommendations.

Use outputs in your workflow

Account signals from Read the Room feed partner-level Relationship rollups over time. Friction topics inform what to raise in the next exec sync.

You can share a read-only link or PDF-style view with stakeholders who do not have Triad seats. Recommendations can be converted into next steps on the activity when you want tracked follow-ups.

Common gotchas

Read the Room is transcript-first. Short bullet notes may run but often produce thin evidence arrays.

Re-running analysis replaces the prior run for that activity. If you edit the narrative after capture, consider whether the analysis is still current.

Account signals only appear for accounts referenced in the conversation and known in your org.

Frequently asked questions

Why is Analyze disabled on my activity?
When decompose detects the input is not a transcript, Triad blocks one-click analyze by default. Use Run anyway if you still want analysis, or recapture with a fuller transcript.
Does Read the Room change my CRM?
No. It stores analysis on the activity and influences relationship signals inside Triad. CRM updates remain your process.
How is this different from Brief Me?
Read the Room is a forensic read of one conversation. Brief Me synthesizes everything captured across a partner — activities, signals, projects, and news — before your next meeting.
Can I share Read the Room with my partner?
Yes, via share links from the activity. Treat shared analysis like any customer-facing material — review evidence quotes before sending.
