Opportunity stage mapping

Map your CRM's stage labels to Triad's pipeline categories

Settings → Opportunity stages (admin-only) lets you tell Triad how your CRM's raw stage labels map to its pipeline categories, so pipeline math and win-rate are accurate.

Why mapping exists

Triad classifies each opportunity's stage by keyword to decide whether it's open, won, or lost. Most stages classify cleanly, but ambiguous labels — like "0. Closed" that means won in your CRM but reads as ambiguous to keyword matching — need an explicit mapping.

How it works

The page scans the stage labels actually present on your opportunities and surfaces any that don't map cleanly, letting you classify them explicitly. Once mapped, those deals count correctly in pipeline totals, closed-won figures, and win-rate.

Common gotchas

This page is admin-only; members see a note to ask an admin. Stages only appear here once opportunities using them exist in your workspace — so map after importing pipeline, not before.

A mis-mapped "won" stage is a common cause of understated closed-won numbers. If your closed-won looks low, check for an unmapped stage here.

FAQ

Why is my closed-won number too low?

A won stage with an ambiguous label may be classified as "unknown." Map it explicitly here and the numbers correct themselves.

When should I set up stage mappings?

After importing or adding opportunities, since the page only lists stages that exist in your data.

Can members do this?

No — stage mapping is admin-only.
