Notion integration

Connect Notion so your AI meeting notes flow into the Capture Inbox automatically

What the Notion integration is for

If you record meetings with Notion's AI Notetaker, connecting Notion brings those meeting notes into Triad on their own. Once connected, each new AI meeting note lands in your Capture Inbox as a transcript, where you process it into an activity — the same review-and-save flow as a forwarded email. You keep working in Notion exactly as you do today; Triad reads the notes and does the rest.

It works with your existing setup whether your notes are standalone notetaker pages or recordings you've added inside a database — Triad picks up all of your AI meeting notes either way, so there's no special folder or database to create.

Connect Notion

Connecting is an admin task. Open Settings → Integrations and click Connect Notion. You'll be sent to Notion to authorize Triad.

Grant access to your meeting notes

On Notion's "Allow 'Triad' to access these pages" screen, choose which pages Triad can read, then click Allow access. This step matters: if you don't grant access to where your meeting notes live, nothing will sync. The simplest choice is the Select link next to "Top level pages," which grants your top-level pages at once and covers both standalone notetaker notes and any database that holds them. When you finish you'll return to Triad showing Notion connected.

What syncs, and when

After connecting, new AI meeting notes sync into your Capture Inbox automatically, usually within about 15 minutes of being recorded or edited. Syncing is forward-looking — the first sync starts the clock and does not pull your back catalog, so notes from before you connected won't appear on their own.

To bring in recent history, click Import last 30 days on the Integrations page. Triad pulls your meeting notes from the past 30 days into the Capture Inbox, and you'll see "Import started — your recent meeting notes will appear in the Capture Inbox shortly."

Work with synced notes in the Capture Inbox

Synced notes arrive in your Capture Inbox as transcript items marked pending — nothing is analyzed until you act. Process runs the AI and decomposes the note into an activity summary, contexts, next steps, and a relationship signal; Edit & Save then accepts it onto the partner's timeline. Notes you don't want, Dismiss or Delete. See Capture Inbox for the full process-and-accept flow.

What Triad can and can't see

Triad requests read access to the Notion content you grant and to basic user info, including attendee email (used to match people). It never edits or creates anything in your Notion workspace.

Triad imports all of your AI meeting notes, not just partner meetings — so internal or personal notes may show up in the inbox. That's intentional: you decide in the Capture Inbox what to keep. Dismiss or Delete the ones you don't want; only notes you Process become activities.

Disconnect

To stop syncing, open Settings → Integrations and click Disconnect. New notes stop flowing in immediately. Anything already in your Capture Inbox stays until you process, dismiss, or delete it.

Common gotchas

Nothing syncs until you grant page access. If your inbox stays empty after connecting, the most likely cause is that the meeting notes weren't included on the "Allow 'Triad' to access these pages" screen — reconnect and grant access to where they live.

Older notes don't sync on their own. The first sync is forward-looking; use Import last 30 days to pull recent history.

Editing a note in Notion re-syncs it, so a note you already handled can reappear as a fresh capture after a substantial edit.

FAQ

Do I need a paid Notion plan?

No. The integration reads your notes through Notion's API and doesn't rely on any paid automation feature.

Why are non-partner meetings showing up?

Triad imports every AI meeting note it can see rather than guessing which are partner-related. Dismiss or Delete the ones you don't need; only the notes you Process become activities.

My older meetings didn't come in.

Syncing only covers notes recorded or edited after you connect. Use Import last 30 days on Settings → Integrations to pull recent history.

Who can connect Notion?

An admin. Connecting and disconnecting live under Settings → Integrations, which is admin-only.
