What did each import of my CRM file do?
Import history lists every import and dry run, newest first, with what each one did. Your workspace may use its own word for this; see Settings, Terminology.
Open Settings, Data import, Import history. Every member can see it; only an admin can import.
Each line
The date, the file name, the state (Imported, Dry run or Failed), and the counts for each kind of record the file touched, for example "Opportunities 4 created, 12 updated, 30 unchanged". A count of zero is left out. Fifty lines a page.
Opening an import
An imported line opens the pursuit list two ways:
- the deals that import created;
- the deals that import last named, meaning it was the most recent file to mention them.
After a commit, the import screen ends with See this import, which opens the same line, and What needs attention, which opens the activation queue.
FAQ
Why are dry runs listed?
A dry run is how you check a file. Listing it shows what the file would have done, even if it was never committed.
Can I undo an import?
No. Import a corrected file: a value in the file wins, and a blank leaves what is there.
