Signing up and signing in

Create an account, join a workspace by invite, and reset your password

There are two ways into Triad, and they use different codes from different sources. Knowing which one you have saves confusion.

Creating a new workspace (signup)

If you're starting your own Triad workspace, go to /signup. You'll need an invite code issued by Triad. Enter the code, your work email, your name, and a password (at least 8 characters), then Create account. The first user of a new workspace becomes its admin, and you're taken straight to the dashboard.

Common messages here include "That invite code is not valid.", "This invite code has expired.", and "An account with this email already exists. Sign in instead."

Joining an existing workspace (invite)

If a colleague's organization invited you, you're joining their workspace, not creating one. Open the link from your invitation email, or go to /accept and enter the workspace invite code (format XXXX-XXXX) along with your email, name, and a password. This code comes from your org's admin, not from Triad.

Some invite emails take you to a link-based flow instead, where you simply set a password to join.

Resetting your password

Go to /forgot-password, enter your email, and Send reset link. For security, Triad always says "If an account with that email exists, we've sent a reset link" — so check your inbox and spam. The link opens a page to choose a new password (at least 8 characters, entered twice).

Common gotchas

The two codes are not interchangeable. A signup invite code creates a brand-new organization and comes from Triad. A workspace invite code (XXXX-XXXX) joins an existing organization and comes from that org's admin. If a code is rejected at one entry point, you may be at the wrong one.

If a reset or invite link is expired, request a fresh one rather than reusing the old email.

FAQ

I have a code but it won't work — why?

Check which kind it is. Signup codes (for a new workspace) go on /signup; workspace invite codes (to join an existing org) go on /accept or via your invite-email link.

Do I verify my email?

The main signup flow signs you in directly without a separate verification step. If you ever land on a "Check your email" page, open the link it sent to continue.

How long are invites valid?

Workspace invites expire after seven days. If yours lapsed, ask your admin to resend it.
